Baudinet Blend Grenache Shiraz Mataro
Wine
Kilikanoon Baudinet Blend Grenache Shiraz Mataro is named after Kilikanoon partner Bruce Baudinet, owner of the Clare Valley vineyard where the Shiraz and Mataro are grown.
Made in the classic Rhône style, the wine is typically a blend of 50% Grenache, 40% Shiraz and 10% Mataro. Each variety is vinified separately.
The wine is made using traditional methods with open fermentation and basket pressing. After 15 months in seasoned French oak, the final blend is assembled and bottled without fining or filtration.
Brick red, Kilikanoon Baudinet Blend Grenache Shiraz Mataro is medium bodied and textural with powdery tannins and fine grained oak. Cellaring potential is 12 years.
